2nd Draft

This is the second draft of my short film. since the original version I have now colour corrected the footage and remove some of the grain from the footage. I have added quotes at the start and the end of the film to tie it into one neat package for the viewer. Some clips have been removed and so has the slowmotion as I felt it didn't add to the atomoshpere of the film and that was it's original intention and therefore it has now been removed.

Draft Short Film Poster

These are the portrait and the landscape versions of the draft of my short film poster. The poster is key to the films success as it is what brings in the audience and it's also the first chance for the audience to see the short film or even just for the audience to see what the film is about. I used a colour bar overlay that appears on televisions because it is something that not many people have experienced but nearly everyone knows. The reviews litter the upper section of the film poster as they would bring in the large audiences especially if it is someone or something that they recognise. The title was created by me using Adobe Photoshop CS6. I found a font online that was copyright free and then i manipulated it to establish a blurring effect that is very interesting. The "IN SELECTED CINEMAS JUNE 7TH 2014" is very eyecatching as it is in capitals. It is good for this to be eye catching as the more that the audience see the date, the more likely they are to remeber it and inturn remember my film. Along the bottom you can see the listed cinemas where my short film will be showing. Having this on the poster is very good for a short film as they are not showing in all cinemas like the big block busters. Having all of the cinemas at the bottom is also good for the film as it doesn't detract from the poster too much.
